Malawi

In collaboration with the national Ministry of Health and the Blantyre Health District, Dr. Crystal Patil, Kathleen Norr (GCG Board member) and Ellen Chirwa, have established Care Circles offering group antenatal care at six clinics and are evaluating outcomes for pregnant people, infants, and the midwives and community volunteers who facilitate group antenatal care sessions. Group Parenting sessions also are being piloted. Results will be shared with the Ministry of Health to determine how to sustain and expand the program .
